Figures

I have always been drawn to depicting figures in my work, whether literally or abstractly. I tend to lean on my imagination more than using actual references, as there is a freedom of expression that is brought about by letting go of self-imposed structures and guidelines which can inhibit creativity. That’s not to say a good reference isn’t worth a million bucks as they do serve a great purpose in achieving realism, if that’s what you’re going for.
