Intersect | New Solo Show at the Firehouse Center for the Arts

Hey there whomever might have stumbled across this, it’s my first blog post! Woo hoo!

I am super excited about my upcoming show, INTERSECT, at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Nov 29-Dec 24 and I wanted to share some new works here that I will be debuting.

This little series of abstract figures will be in the INTERSECT show, along with MANY new works!

I cannot tell you how much I love the free-spirited, creative meandering experience of working on abstracts, and this series certainly provided me with just that kind of experience.

Adding figures to my work invites a sense of storytelling as they emerge in the visual field on

the canvas. Who are these people? What are they doing? How do they relate to each other,

and to their environment? As I near finishing each piece, that’s when the idea of assigning a

title comes into play. These ones look like they’re observing something. These ones seem to be

waiting for someone or something, etc.

Enjoy!

Sam
